.NAME Domain Names

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME generic domain extension is the only one meant for personal sites only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are famous by. At the beginning, solely 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to secure john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Existing 3rd-level names remained active.

Through our company, you can order your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to correct the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer key from the present registration service provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been done. There are no specific regulations on who can grab a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the goal behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
